Complete your first biodiversity assessment in Darwin

This guide walks you through creating your first biodiversity assessment in Darwin.

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have:

Received your invitation email from Zitadel
Some business data ready (procurement spend, product volumes, or site information)

First time? You can use passwordless login (FaceID, Windows Hello) for faster access.

Click "New Project" to create your first assessment project.

Each project is an independent workspace where you can:

In the Collect section, start by mapping your organization structure.

Create your top-level business units:

Add physical locations:

Map your supply chain:

Start simple! You can always add more entities later. Begin with your top organization node and a few key suppliers.

Navigate to Data Points to input your data.

Click "Save" to store your data points.

Once your data is ready:

Pick a perimeter — the whole company, an org. unit or a site — and read its biodiversity footprint
Re-cut the same footprint by entity, commodity, scope, pressure or model
Drill into any figure down to the contributing data points
Compare pins a baseline perimeter alongside, so every figure carries its delta
