River Nitrogen Concentration — baseline 2015
This layer maps the 2015 in-stream nitrogen concentration of river cells from the IMAGE-GNM model, the state the water-purification shock starts from.
Source: IMAGE-GNM (river-N nutrient model) Year: 2015 Category: Scenario · River nitrogen (IMAGE-GNM) Coverage: River cells of the model only, 28 % of the 0.5° grid. Nodata elsewhere. Format: Raster grid (COG), 0.5° grid Used in risk analysis: Context only. The axis has no integrity transform yet, so this layer carries a state but not a level.
What it shows
This layer shows the in-stream nitrogen concentration of river cells in 2015, in mg N/L. It is the absolute state that the IMAGE-GNM water-purification shock describes a change of. See Water purification shock (NDR).
How it is built
The concentration is the 2015 in-stream nitrogen concentration of the IMAGE-GNM nutrient model, on the river cells the model carries.
No integrity transform is defined on this axis yet. The layer therefore carries a state, but not yet a level that Resilience could read.
How to read it
A higher value means more nitrogen in the water, so the purification service is under more pressure. A cell with no model river cell is nodata, not zero: no value there says nothing about the nitrogen in the water.
The present-day level of the Loss of water purification row comes from another layer, Water Purification Degradation.
